Aww man . . . I just heard that one of my new favorite shows on Animation Domination is getting canceled after only four episodes (one of them I missed because they changed the time slot on me) . . . *Pouts*
FOX is dumping Sit Down Shut Up and hopes people just forget about it so they can put in the new Cleavland Show, the spin-off from Family Guy. This is a big disappointment. FOX seems to be going for the sure thing, taking the show that's riding on the popularity of Seth MacFarlane's work (though I'm expecting I'd like the new Cleavland Show once it airs), rather than giving the new show that doesn't have ties to MacFarlane, a chance.
SDSU used an interesting mix of real life photography and animation. I can't recall ever seeing anyone else try that before (except for a few movies of course). It had adult humor similar to Family Guy, etc. but it had a different flavor; I think mainly because Seth MacFarlane didn't have his "magic fingers" in it, which made it different.
Anyone else who enjoyed SDSU, write FOX a letter and ask them to not give up on Sit Down Shut Up!

I cut out a bunch of old communities from my list that I no longer visit or watch. There are still dozens on the list that I should go through and remove, but I'll leave that for another day.
My physical therapy appointment is in thirty minutes, I'll have to get going soon. I wanted to get in some more writing before I leave, but I just don't have time until I get back.
I have what may be a solid idea for a new chapter one, or at least a new opening scene that may help readers to get into it. I wish it was easier for me to get the ideas out of my head and onto the screen.
I have to run; I'll update more later.

Whew, what a day . . . Last night Was rough. We had some nasty thunderstorms which the dogs were going bat-shit crazy, thinking that someone was trying to break in the house because the wind kept rattling the door.
Power went out for a while after I had gone through and unplugged everything in the house in the middle of the night. By the time I woke up, I was having some strange half-awake dreams where the strange sounds the oven was making, made me think it was a heart monitor and that mom was dying or something. Groggily I fumbled about into the living room and mom complained that ever since the power went out, the stove was making these awful beeping and screeching noises that wouldn't stop, even when mom turned off the circuit breaker to the whole kitchen, it still beeped. O.o Dunno how it was able to do that without any electricity going to it . . .
Anywho, lots of hail and stuff. Accidents on the roads because of it. Since I didn't get any sleep, I didn't have enough time to go to Fresno and do my physical therapy stuff in the same day. I made a quick run down to Fresno to pick up the latest Limited Collectors Edition's and came back with a pretty good haul. (Though I didn't realize that my fly was down for the whole two hours and only caught it on the ride back home . . . *Face palms*)
I picked up the limited editions of: Fallout 3, Halo Wars, Street Fighter IV and the first run edition of Chrono Trigger. w00t! I also picked up Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Guilty Gear 2: Overture. The special editions came with some nifty swag along with it.
Some of the games turned out awesome! SF4 = Epic! *Glee!8 I haven't had a good fighting game since the days of the Dreamcast. It has a fantastic and very artistic into video and the soundtrack is pretty good. It came with a HD anime movie too. I was reminded, after a few tough rounds fighting Seth, that my wrists can't sustain that level of action anymore . . . But I did manage to beat it. I survived for about 52 minutes until my hands couldn't take anymore.
Some of the art style, mainly on some of the characters faces, look kind of weird to me, but overall the game was way better than I expected! :D
Though one of the games did disappoint me greatly though. When I finally saw a Guilty Gears game available, I snatched it up right away. I was thinking that I would finally get some really decent fighting games for the 360, but once I got home and was ready to take it for a test run, then I saw on the box that instead of the awesome MVC-style fighting game that I had hoped for, it was a fighting game turned action-RPG. -__- I barely got beyond the tutorial when I got so bored with it, I just shelved it.
I'm tempted to just return that one, but that means spending another whole day driving to and from Fresno. I should give it another chance, but I don't know if I can really get into it now after that big disappointment.
Chrono Trigger is looking promising! The sound and music quality looks like a good transfer from the original. The anime scenes look clearer than ever compared to my old PS1 remake.
I haven't invested any time into FFTA2 yet, but it should be good.
I was a little hesitant on Halo Wars going into it. I played it right after I tried the Guilty Gears 2, and I was a little afraid that it would be a disappointing "Wars" game like Quake Wars. I heard friends raving over Quake Wars like it was so totally awesome, but compared to Quake 4, it really wasn't worth it. But Halo Wars is looking to be promising after all. It's not a FPS like the other Halo games, but after playing through the tutorial, it's catching my interest . . .
I traded in a couple crappy old games that I didn't like. I traded my old Burnout for the DS which handled like crap, the Kingdoms of Fire Circle of Doom (or whatever that thing was called) that I played once then shelved it since, and finally FEAR which I also couldn't really get all that into.
I was ready to trade in my special edition of Turning Point because it kept glitching up on me when I first bought it. It wouldn't let me get past the start of the second level and I was stuck there. I gave it one more try before deciding to turn it in and wouldn't you know it? It actually worked. ^.^ Good timing! So Turning Point was spared to play again another day.
I was rather bummed that I was only able to get $7-8 from the games I turned in, especially since I played them only once or twice and the 360 games were brand new and in perfect condition with all the stuff in the box. Oh well . . . better to sell them now than be stuck with them after the next system comes out and no one would buy them anymore except for hardcore game collectors like myself.
While I was in town, I needed to pick up a new MP3 player since my old Go-Gear was broken (I had about two dozen songs, some duplicates, that I could NOT erase from the player . . . I got so sick or hearing/seeing the same songs over and over and over every day, and spending most of my break time just flipping through all the old crap to get to the songs that I actually wanted to listen to).
I was looking at the iPods, but I didn't want to spend too much. I could get one of the really dinky iPod micro shuffle or whatever it was called . . . but then a sales person pointed out a sale on a nice Sansa Fuze bundle. It was only a few dollars more, but it could do so much more than what that other one could do.
That's all for now!

The mismanagement has come up with another brilliant scheme. I've been asking them for help because day shift is horribly understaffed and my wrists in the condition that they are, I can no longer perform at my optimum speed to keep up this high level of work on the weekends. They said they were going to bring one of the clerks from the overstaffed swing shift to help out on days.
But yesterday I find out that they changed their minds. They're not going to transfer anyone to days, they're not even going to hire anybody else. So if Marsha on graveyard calls in sick, and my swing shift relief doesn't show up to help me with the count, I am royally screwed. Make it a giveaway weekend where everyone is demanding to have their time input right away so they can get their tickets and I'm scrambling to juggle 4 pits, do the final headcounts and sort the carnival cards on top of imputing/printing new rating cards, I can't handle all that solo anymore.
Marsha also told me that they're going to be cutting day shift's and graveyard's hours back, so they won't be having anyone to cover day shift at all, while the four clerks on swing just stand around doing nothing because there isn't enough work for all of them to do on their shift. -__-
Honestly, what part of this sounded like a good idea for the management? How do idiots like this even get into management positions? Aye . . .
Last night my swing relief called in again and we were having a giveaway drawing that was busy. I told them hell no. I wasn't going to work any harder than I all ready was, and if it pisses off the players who missed out a chance to win that prize money, then oh well. It's not my fault. It's not that I refuse to double time it, because I physically can't do it anymore.
What if both Marsha, myself and my swing relief all ended up calling out sick on a busy holiday/giveaway weekend? They won't have anyone else to fill in for us because they'll most likely want to keep the remaining three clerks on swing to cover the roll, and if they do, they'll no doubt work them for 11 hours, and that will piss everyone else off. They'll end up quitting so they never have to do that again and then all the shifts would be understaffed. -__-
*Sigh* I dunno. Well, its time to get dressed and run off to work again. I'll be back tonight.

I'm glad this week is over. I had to stay after to do a little overtime (and not get paid overtime) because they didn't schedule anyone to relieve me today. I've had to stay late all week. I've been trying to chill out and not get so aggravated over work stuff.
I doodled a little bit, nothing great. I have some new ideas and I may try my luck at drawing anime again. I'm going to try and draw some more tonight if I can avoid dozing off.

My right thumb has been twitching all day since I woke up this morning. O.o; *Shakes my hand out again to try and make it stop* Gah! Now why is it being all twitchy on me today?
Anywho, Kim and John #342523534 (I've lost track which number I gave him before. Our family is so unoriginal . . .) are coming over tomorrow. I doubt I'll see them much. Kim wanted me to set up the DDR pad for her when she came back. I just hope that she doesn't accidentally erase any of my game data . . . *Paranoid*

The trip to the hospital wasn't too bad, just a lot of waiting and a little bit of radioactivity. I missed Lance Armstrong racing by. I was in the waiting room when they closed the streets down as he passed.
The first thing the doc said when he came into the room was "Okay, lets start on this zombie fetish of yours. When was the last time you've been to Jamaica?" (I was wearing my "Attention zombies: EAT ME!" t-shirt) I asked him if it was possible to replace my arm with an assault rifle like in that one movie with that gun-for-a-leg.
Anyways, talked with the doc, he over-prescribed me some overkill medication that will make me sick to my stomach with several pages of side effects like nervousness, trouble sleeping, bone problems, increased appetite, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, swelling, headache, backache, skin growths, vision changes, mood/mental/personality changes, severe muscle pain or weakness, weight gain, and and and and and and and and . . .
He also wanted wanted to do a set of x-rays on my arms to make sure there weren't any tumors or bone spurs or anything and I have to wait till friday for the results before I start more physical therapy. I was told afterward that it was kind of strange to have my wrists x-ray'ed for this. O.o
They said I can't go for workman's comp or anything because I play video games and do computer stuff at home too. Even though my department doesn't offer wrist things to prevent this kind of nerve damage. Plus the casino will no doubt try and find any reason it can to lay me off.
Oh! One nifty thing that happened . . . If I'm going to let someone play around with my genes like a kitten with a ball of yarn, I'm gonna get something out of it! Sadly no super powers or extra limbs, but I did charm the radiologist into giving me a copy of my x-rays. ^____^ Dem bones, dem dry bones sir! I wasn't able to get a copy of my chest x-rays, but I can at least show y'all my other insidey parts in my arms! XD I had some ideas I could use for them, but the radiologist had cropped out half of my fingers in the print. I just have to figure out how I'm going to scan this huge x-ray paper. I might hold it up to the light and take a photo of it.
Hmm, also I have to figure out how I'm going to fit 3 days of physical therapy in a week. I'll probably go 2x a week like I did with my heel.
I didn't get home until late. This took up my whole day so I didn't get anything done, not that there's much I can (or shouldn't) do at the moment.
So that was my adventure for the day.
